Changing Lives - One Woman At A Time
Life transitions are not limited by socio-economic levels, and can happen suddenly. When these changes occur, the impact can result in not knowing where to turn for help.
The Women’s Resource Center (WRC) offers assistance to women in Alexander, Burke, Caldwell and Catawba counties. Some of the reasons women tell us they turn to WRC include:
“I just lost my job and I’m not sure what to do. “AD“My niece is in an abusive relationship. Where can I refer her?” MD“My mother just died and I need someone to talk to.” CR“Are there any AA meetings/support groups in the area for women?” DF“My unemployment ran out. I’m receiving food stamps, but I need personal care items & I have no money.” FH“I’m looking for a job, but I need help with gas to get to the interviews.” ES
Bottom line, Women’s Resource Center touches countless women and families in this region, offering assistance to those in need; affirmation to those in transition; encouragement to those seeking growth; hope to those who are searching; and empowerment to all who desire whole, healthy and vibrant lives.
The mission of Women's Resource Center is to improve the lives of women and empower them to achieve their fullest potential.
